Mastering Your DSLR or Mirrorless Camera Hands-on Workshop

This workshop is great for photographers who recently got a camera and those who have been shooting in Auto mode or Manual mode but seek better results. Expand your horizons and you’ll be on your way to mastering the art of photography. Let’s have some fun, and take some pictures!!!

• Learn how to make your camera give you the results you’re after.
• Join us for this full-day hands on workshop
• If you have an ‘P,A,S,M’ mode on your camera and you can change lenses, this workshop is perfect for you. You’ll learn exposure through instruction and action. You will receive hands on instruction when we go outside to practice what you learned in the classroom. We will have a minimum of three fun outdoor exercises.

• The core of your image lies in the Exposure Triangle (Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO). Those three settings are the fundamental way to control the look of your photos, and you will learn them thoroughly. We will also discuss composition and other aesthetic choices you’ll make to achieve your vision. What makes some photos work and some not so much? Let’s explore together!

Since studying fine arts at UW-Madison, photography has been a cornerstone of my life. I’ve had my work published both domestically and internationally and have been shooting professionally for over 40 years. I enjoy close-up, portrait, landscape and any aspect of photography that is in front of me. I have a professional certification of online education and take any opportunity I can to teach others about the joys of photography.
