Landscape Fundamentals

Landscape photography involves capturing the natural world around us in a way that elicits an emotional reaction from the viewer. You will learn the dynamics of landscape photography by engaging in discussions regarding composition, lens selection, exposure, atmosphere, natural light, and more.

This is class is limited to 10 people.

Charlie Kruschek

Originally pursuing a degree in meteorology, Charlie discovered that photography was a tool he could use to fuel his creativity while growing as an experienced storm chaser. With a goal of slowing seconds to a halt, Charlie finds something powerful in the simplicity of natural light. In addition to his personal travels, Charlie educates other photographers about post-processing, the art of landscapes and storm imagery, and inspiring a new generation of visual storytellers to explore and appreciate the world's beauty through the lens. His latest endeavors include brand collaboration, personalized workshops around the country, along with pursuing vanlife.

Since studying fine arts at UW-Madison, photography has been a cornerstone of my life. I’ve had my work published both domestically and internationally and have been shooting professionally for over 40 years. I enjoy close-up, portrait, landscape and any aspect of photography that is in front of me. I have a professional certification of online education and take any opportunity I can to teach others about the joys of photography.

Further your education with our workshops and personallised instruction and become a PRO in photography.

1 on 1 Personalized Instruction



If you prefer more personalized instruction, The Camera Company offers 1 on 1 instruction. These sessions allow you to address only the topics you are interested in and answer your specific photography questions. Available in-person or virtually. $45 for each 30 minute block.

Minimum Registration

Camera Company classes need a minimum number of students to register before we can hold the class. If the minimum registration has not occurred within two days before the class date it will be cancelled. All students who enrolled in the class will be notified by email and will be offered to transfer their registration to another class offering or issued a full refund.
